5. Packing List

6. Bill of Lading (BL)
A bill of lading serves as proof of goods receipt, ownership, and the transportation agreement.
7. Delivery Order (DO)
A document issued by the shipping agent, used as proof for retrieving shipped goods.
8. Part of Shipment (POS, similar to consolidated shipping)
A shipment method where multiple shippers’ goods are consolidated into a single container bound for the same destination.
9. Gross Weight (GW) & Net Weight (NW)
Gross Weight (GW): The total weight of goods, including packaging.
Net Weight (NW): The weight of goods excluding packaging.
10. LCL & FCL
LCL (Less Than Container Load): A shipment where goods from multiple shippers share a container. These goods are stored in a warehouse before loading.
FCL (Full Container Load): A shipment where goods from a single shipper fill an entire container.
11. CFS & CY
CFS (Container Freight Station): A facility where LCL shipments are processed.
CY (Container Yard): A facility where FCL shipments are handled.
12. Shipping Schedule
The designated date and time when goods are dispatched for shipment.
13. Door
The point of origin and destination for the shipment of goods.
14. Stripping & Stuffing
Stripping: The process of unloading goods from a container or storage box.
Stuffing: The process of loading goods into a container or storage box.
15. 3PL (Third-Party Logistics)
